Note how the corners are joined. This type of over-lapping 2X4
joint is quite strong. Pre-dill the holes helps prevent splitting. |

Now attach the 2’X4’ plywood top using
1 5/8” deck screws, spaced every 8”. |

The bottom shelf requires a notch at each corner, to fit around
the legs. The notches should be cut to 3 1/8” X 5 1/8”. |

Slide the shelf in at an angle. |

Screw the shelf to the base, spacing the 15Ú8” screws every
eight inches. Use a clamp to hold the shelf in place, and your
