Build
A Workbench For under $30.
By
Lou Granata
Having
a sturdy workbench can make projects easier and safer. On the
next few pages is a step-by-step pictorial to help you build
this project.
One
can use this workbench for building all types of projects and
can also be used as a planting bench. Store tools and supplies
on the lower shelf. The overall dimensions of four feet by two
feet will fit nicely in your garage or basement.
The
cost of lumber can vary week to week but in most cases it shouldnt
vary to much. You could buy all the stock needed at The ReBuilding
Center located at 3625 N. Mississippi and build this bench for
less than $30. Most suppliers will cut larger stock to fit in
your vehicle and you might have to buy a full sheet of plywood
that could add to the cost, you can use the extra stock to build
other projects. If you dont have a power saw you can use
a hand saw. Use a level or a 2X4 to make straight cut lines.
This
project should take a half day to complete. Click here to go
